  We have a 2000 700 XCSP that runs great for a while then bogs out and backfires to run fine again for a while. Had it in 3 different shops to clean carbs and adjust, change plugs and gas, and is still not fixed, gas also leaks down into the engine. Any suggestions??

  Sounds like needle and seats are bad or floats are sinking. Could also have crank seal leaking that could cause to run alright till warm then backfire and die.

  After it backfires it runs strong for a while, needles and floats were cleaned and checked.

  I agree with cutter. At first thought I would check the compression. I am leaning toward the crank or a bad ring.
